The Panasonic BB-HCM547A outdoor dome camera is splash resistant and tested to work in environments from -4 degrees to 122 degrees F. The 4.6 zoom makes it possible to check places in detail. Its 73 degree wide viewing angle allows you to recognize much broader range at the single sight. Thanks to its PoE capability and splash-resistant body, the camera can be installed in places where it is difficult to provide power, like on factory and warehouse ceilings, or garage and store eaves. This lets you grab every business possibility by breaking distance and time barriers with Zero Distance Management.

Place the Panasonic BB-HCM547A in your home, office, vacation home or almost anywhere else you'd like to keep an eye on things, with no PC required at the location. The BB-HCM547A can be viewed and controlled from a standard Web browser, video display, or even a compatible cell phone or PDA and requires no additional software for the PC that you're viewing it on. All of the other required software to operate this Panasonic IP camera, including control software (TCP/UDP) and e-mail software (SMTP), is already inside the BB-HCM547A.

Equipped with a 6x zoom function (a 2x Ex zoom and a 3x digital zoom), the BB-HCM547A Panasonic PTZ IP camera lets you zoom in and out to view objects that are close or far away.

The Panasonic BB-HCM547A features a MOS progressive scan imaging device for sharp, enhanced image expression. The image refreshing speed (maximum) has been increased to 30 images per second for smoother displays of moving images. The BB-HCM547A also features an SD Memory Card slot for recording images captured by the network camera directly onto an SD Memory Card (sold separately).

Having Power over Ethernet (PoE) means you can use your Panasonic BB-HCM547A without connecting to a power outlet. As long as you are running a PoE Enabled Switch, simply connecting your BB-HCM547A camera to the network via Cat5 or Cat6 cabling will provide the power needed to run the device. This is a big cost saver if you do not have power outlets near where you want to install the camera.

With the built-in sensor, the Panasonic BB-HCM547A can be set to record and/or notify you when someone enters the room. IT features shock detection, sound detection, and motion detection.

The Panasonic BB-HCM547A can be set to automatically record video at certain times and certain speeds. In addition, with optional, external sensors attached to the camera, it is possible for the camera to email or record when triggered by motion, sound, light, timer, or even a push button. These convenient functions eliminate your need to constantly check the image.
