About Axis Dome IP Cameras
Fixed dome cameras or, mini domes, are fixed cameras inside a small dome housing that can be directed to point in any direction and with their discreet, tamper resistant, non-obtrusive design they can be placed just about anywhere. Indoor or outdoor installation with available IP66 rated enclosures, mini domes are also designed with vandal-resistant enclosures while the camera’s dome casing offers protection against redirection and defocusing.
The PTZ Dome IP cameras offer the same benefits as the mini domes and due to their design and mounting options, particularly in drop ceilings, they are ideal for discreet installations. PTZ domes are sought for live monitoring where the user needs to actively follow a person or object and they can also be operated in guard tour mode, where the camera automatically moves between preset positions.
