The Spectralink 8441 WiFi Phone is an open SIP platform 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi phone which features a WebKit browser and XML API, and Push-To-Talk (PTT) functionality. The 8441 features a dedicated Duress button, the ability to send off emergency notifications for man down, running, and lack of movement, and is compatible with Spectralink SAFE Service package.

The Spectralink 8441 WiFi Phone (2200-37288-001) is an open SIP platform 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi phone which features a WebKit browser and XML API, and Push-To-Talk (PTT) functionality. The Spectralink 8441 improves on the 8440 with the addition of personal monitoring, automatic alarm calls, and emergency alerting. When deployed in conjunction with a security alarm or lone worker application, the Spectralink 8441 and 8453 provide unparalleled support for isolated workers or other at-risk personnel in potentially threatening situations.

The Spectralink 8441 features configurable alarm features such as duress and motion events to help protect the safety of the user. For instance, a duress alarm when pressed twice in 2 seconds can send an automatic alarm call can be sent to an emergency number. Motion events such as running, tilting (ie: man down), or prolonged stillness can also trigger an alarm call or a notification to a third party monitoring system. Coupled with a security alarm application program, real time location information from the alarming phone can be displayed on security monitors and sent to other SpectraLink 8400 handsets for mobile response.
