Note, this is a solution builder using Switchvox SMB Appliances. Switchvox also offers a Switchvox 60 SOHO Appliance which uses a lite version of Switchvox software for the very small business with less than 20 users and up to 10 concurrent calls.
In this step you will be selecting the base Switchvox SMB system. Based on the number of concurrent voice calls you expect the system to handle at one time, please select a Switchvox version. For up to 12 concurrent calls, please select the Switchvox 80 SMB Appliance. For up to 45 concurrent calls please select the Switchvox 310. For up to 75 concurrent calls please select the Switchvox 360. Up to 100 concurrent calls, you need the Switchvox 380. For larger deployments, the Switchvox 450 will handle up to 125 concurrent calls and the Switchvox 470 will handle up to 150 concurrent calls.
If you would like to buy multiple years of support and maintenance on your Switchvox system now, you should choose your support level (Silver, Gold, Platinum) in step 2, and then choose subsequent years of renewals now. Buying multiple years of maintenance up front helps you save on the per person cost as compared to buying your renewals annually.
In the last step you made sure you could get tech support for each user for an extended period of time. Now you need to make sure that you get software releases and updates for that same period of time. Your system ships with 1 year of software maintenance. Match up the # of years of software updates you will need with the years of user maintenance you added.
In this step you will be selecting a telephony card to connect your Switchvox system to the PSTN. Based on the number of POTS (Analog) lines or T1 connections you will be using, please select a telephony card. Digium recommends using a hardware-based Echo Cancellation (EC) module on your PCIe Card. The Switchvox 80 has one open PCIe Slot. The 310, 360, 380, 450, and 470 each have 2 open PCIe slots. If you will be using SIP trunks or prefer to use an external VoIP Gateway, simply keep this field blank.
In this step you will be selecting a networking switch to connect your IP telephones to your new Switchvox appliance. VoIP Supply always recommends at the minimum a Smart Switch or even a Managed Switch for VoIP Traffic. These switches include QoS and VLANs to ensure prioritization of voice traffic. A PoE switch will eliminate the need to purchase power supplies for your IP phones and makes phone placement more flexible. You only need a cat5 cable drop to place a phone without taxing already overused wall outlets and surge protectors.
In this step you will be selecting the associate level IP telephones. These IP telephones are good for basic usage by associates and for placement in areas such as common rooms, kitchens and warehouses. They feature one or two lines of calling and all of the standard IP telephone features. If you do not need or want any associate level IP telephones simply keep this field blank.
In this step you will be selecting the manager level IP telephones. These IP telephones are designed for managers or associates who heavily utilize a telephone. They feature two to five lines of calling, a speakerphone and all the features you'd expect from a mid-range phone. If you do not need or want any manager level IP telephones simply keep this field blank.
In this step you will be selecting an IP conference phone. If you have a small conference room please select the Polycom IP5000. If you have a larger conference room please select the Polycom IP6000. If you do not need or want an IP conference phone simply keep this field blank.
In this step you will be selecting the executive level IP telephones. These IP telephones are designed for executives who want the best IP telephone you can buy. They feature three or more lines of calling, a speakerphone and all the features you'd expect from an executive phone. If you do not need or want any executive level IP telephones simply keep this field blank.
In this step you will be selecting an extended hardware warranty. Digium offers a complete three or five year replacement warranty. If you do not need or want an extended hardware warranty simply leave this field blank.
In this step you choose how many users you will need on your Switchvox system. In addition to how many users you will need, you also need to choose what type of support you will have for those users. Switchvox Gold offers technical support via email or phone 8x5. Switchvox Platinum offers support via email or phone 24x7. User subscriptions are renewable annually.
In the unlikely event that your Switchvox appliance goes down, your warranty will cover getting it fixed. But what will you do while you are waiting for that to happen? A Switchvox Cold Spare allows you to have another working appliance on hand to use in case of an emergency.
