Recently, Grandstream released several new cameras that have made a great impression here at VoIP Supply and on the web. \u00a0Our VoIP Supply Lab was lucky enough to get one of them, the new Grandstream GXV3672_HD<\/a>, and we immediately jumped on the network to check it out!<\/p>\n

The physical appearance of the new IP camera<\/a> was a pleasant surprise. \u00a0This IP66-rated weatherproof outdoor IP\u00a0camera has a solid metal casing with a matte black finish. \u00a0Included with the GXV3672_HD<\/a> is a sun shield to prevent glare on the lens\u00a0and a back-mounted\u00a0camera mount comes\u00a0preattached.\u00a0\u00a0The wiring is already strung through the camera mount base, so the\u00a0Power-over-Ethernet\u00a0IP camera is ready to go as soon as you are.\u00a0 If you are not planning on PoE, a universal power supply is included as well.\u00a0 In no time at all the GXV3672 was up and running and streaming smoothly over the web browser at what I set at 8 fps.\u00a0 As Grandstream IP Cameras are compatible with Grandstream Video Phones, you would be able to view the video footage over your Grandstream GXV3140<\/a> or Grandstream GXV3175<\/a>, which, let’s face it, viewing your security footage over your video phone is cool.<\/p>\n

Surrounded by nearly 50 IR LED lights, the Grandstream GXV3672_HD<\/a> is a true night and day camera with 1\/3″ 1.2 Megapixel CMOS sensor. \u00a0The LEDs create a smooth night image that aim to impress, and the H.264 compression makes for favorable bandwidth usage and memory storage. \u00a0I viewed the images over Grandstream\u2019s free video management software, Gsurf, and the day image picked up great color, even in low light conditions (such as light shadows), and immediately switched over to black and white for night vision once the lux went too low. \u00a016 determinable motion detection boxes can be set and video analytics are built directly into the GXV3672 cameras making it easy to customize these new Grandstream IP cameras to your own preferences.<\/p>\n
