The NetVanta 6360 is a Carrier Ethernet Customer Edge IP Business Gateway that collapses the functionality of a converged business-class voice gateway, an access router for data services and a Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF)-compliant Carrier Ethernet services gateway into a single, optimized platform for streamlined business services delivery. Eliminating the need for multiple, single-purpose devices that independently support each of these services enables service providers to expand service offerings while gaining significant operational efficiency and a more competitive service portfolio.
The NetVanta 6360 represents an industry breakthrough with its ability to integrate Layer 2 service provider Network Termination Equipment with Layer 3 enterprise Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). As businesses are transitioning their networks from legacy TDM to IP-based environments, a high level of complexity is created for both the service provider and the enterprise IT team.
