Snom has announced the release of the new snom 870 VoIP phone. The Snom 870 features a large high-definition TFT color display that is larger than the Snom 820. The Snom 870 LCD display is a newly designed touch screen with a unique, intuitive user interface. The Snom 870 enables the user to easily handle even complex applications like swapping of calls, or establishment of conference calls for up to 5 participants via a simple “drag and drop“ touchscreen interface.
At a retail price point of $429.95, the Snom 870 is packed with features including a 4.3″ TFT Touch screen with 24 bit color depth, Intuitive user interface, Built-In Gigabit Ethernet Switch, 2 x Type A USB which can accept USB based 802.11X Wireless USB Adapters. In keeping with current industry trends, the Snom 870 also features G.722 codec support for Wideband Audio. Power over Ethernet, SIP RFC3261, Security: SIPS/SRTP, TLS, STUN, ENUM, NAT, ICE, National Language Support and an XML Mini Browser are also included.
The Snom 870 also features support for Camrivox’ FLEXOR CTI application which adds additional embedded capabilities including On-screen click-to-dial, Contact screen pop-ups and call logs, Simple call reporting, Note recording capabilities and support for Microsoft Outlook 2003 & 2007.
