Simply follow these steps to hold your active call:

1. Answer the call
2. Press the Hold key on the X5U IP phone when you need to hold the call
3. When the call is on hold, the other end of the phone will play the holding tone
4. Press the Resume key on the X5U IP phone when you need to resume the call
5. When the call is resumed, the holding tone will stop
