Question: I understand the hardware is included, but it is an 8 port device, if we need only 1 fax machine – is there a lower cost option?

Answer: The SN4140 includes the encryption in the price if you don’t need the encryption there is a drop in the monthly fee. If you want the encryption, T.38, and up to 8 channels it comes out to roughly $48 a month. We do have other low cost options available as well.

Question: Can existing numbers be ported for use with this fax product?

Answer: We support DID phone numbers we have our own porting department we can port numbers from 99 % of the territories that cover 99% of the population so we manage the port process to make it easier for our clients if you go to the babytel website and scroll down to the bottom of the page we have a little number porting generator you can see if your number can be ported. We support toll free and DID numbers and we can support them both
