  1. Great SIP phone for cheap!

Reviewed by Dan Smith on 8/10/09

These phones have been a breeze to set up. We’re using them for offices with tight budgets that need a phone to work with Asterisk. These phones offer great value and also let you daisy chain the Ethernet to the computer at the same station. If you’re budget is tight, go with this phone. Call quality is acceptable, speakerphone is OK.

If you are looking for inexpensive voip phone, then this will do it.

Had some problems with it at first, but once firmware was upgraded, problems went away.

To update firmware, make sure phone is attached to network with internet access, and set Firmware Server Path: 168.75.215.189 then Update and Reboot This is Grandstreams firmware update server.

This is a great product for the price you pay, works nice and easy. We have around 60 of these units working with AXON PBX and works great. My only wish is an alphanumeric display for Call ID.

  4. Nice phone for the price

Reviewed by Mitch Thompson on 2/13/09

The BT200 phone is great for home use, interfaces with Asterisk very easily (as all GS products I’ve used do), and has a nice price.

I only wish it had CallerID w/name. I’m not complaining, because I didn’t read the specs close enough.

  6. Pretty Good IP Phone, few flaws

Reviewed by Bryan Miller on 10/10/08

For the money, the Grandstream 200 phone is a real value. My only complaint is that the speakerphone is not as good as Polycom and Cisco, but then again this phone is only $50.
