It’s not good

The battery dies quickly. Whenever u use the temperature goes up. I had to do the firmware upgrade to get to configure it. I’m selling my phone cause I hate it!

Dissapointed

Bought this to use on my Asterisk. The phone is sleek and has a nice look on it, and that is where the plus sides stop.
I am truly dissapointed at the lack of WPA2 support, the constant rebooting necessary, the lack of working with NATs adequately, the very simple configuration.
In short, this one phone made me decide never to buy VoIP products from Linksys/Cisco again, they simply are not in my opinion, leading edge nor configurable enough.
There is a reason why this phone was discontinued…

Good stable phone — but…

From other reviews I have read, this phone can be fussy about what router/access point it is connected to. I am using a Linksys WRT54GX2 set to WPA/WPA2 Personal with the TKIP encryption algorithm. When I received the phone, it had the 1.02.12S version of the firmware, and it would not stay connected to the access point for more than about an hour. In fact, I would have to power cycle the phone to get it to re-connect. After a few go-rounds with this, I re-flashed the phone to the latest firmware from the Linksys web site which at this time is 1.03.18S. I assumed that when it finished the flashing process that it would completely re-initialize itself automatically. This is evidently not true because just over an hour later it disconnected from the access point and would not re-connect until I power cycled the phone. However, once I did that it has stayed connected to the access point for as long as the battery stays charged. I am still in the process of charge/discharge that I put all new batteries through when I first get them, so I do not yet know how long this phone will stay connected.
Why I scored things the way I did: Value: This phone’s firmware was not designed to switch from one access point to another, and there are no applications built in other than the web browser and phone book. Linksys could solve both of these issues with a firmware upgrade — in which case I would give it 5 stars. But will Linksys deal with these issues?
Durability: I really don’t know. I haven’t had the phone a week yet.
Performance: It does what it should, but I needed to flash the firmware to get it to work right.
Price: See the issues under Value. There is one other issue, and that is that the headphone jack is not quite standard and there appear to be no headphones that work with this phone.
Usability: once you get the sip settings figured out, this phone just works. I have found no surprises
