Hello, I am Darren Hartman, VoIP Supply's Senior Sales Representative. I have been with VoIP Supply since we opened our doors.
Over the years I have been actively selling, managing and helping train new sales associates. I have a degree in Business Administration and Sales.
I really enjoy talking with customers and finding out more about their business. Nothing is more gratifying then putting together a complete solution for a customer and getting positive feedback.
I have been a professional sales representative for 15 years. Before coming to Voip Supply I was an inside and outside Sales Account Manager at Ingram Micro for 7 years.
I also participate in many blog posts talking about a variety of hardware solutions and products on the VoIP Insider Blog.
I currently hold or have held certifications from the following companies:
I have been through a lot of internal trainings. Being a part of North America's leading supplier of VoIP equipment, our manufacturer partners are always excited about coming in to show the latest and greatest products.
I have to say I really love the participation, the attention we get, and I enjoy meeting our partners. Some of the key in-house trainings are the following:
I have won several sales awards over my years in the industry.
I really enjoy the competitive environment of sales. Outside of work I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy traveling with my wife, playing golf, baseball and working out.
What do I need (Hardware) to setup Elastix system that supports:
- 8 external lines-PSTN
- 40 SIP Phones
- 20 analog Phones
- 5 GSM (SIM Card)
A: Based on the setup you need to do, the only appliance that can handle the requiresd amount of PCI cards for connectivity would be the ELX5000.
Or if you like we can get you external gateways with a ELX025.
Please refer to our certified hardware page at: http://elastix.org/index.php/en/product-information/certified-hardware.html
Q: Do the Polycom VVX color expansion modules need a seperate power supply
A: No, they do not. However, they require a specific version of firmware (4.1.6) to be installed on the phone in order to function.
Q: I have a cisco spa8000-g1 telephony gateway. All of the fxs ports are registering excetp 7 & 8. Is there something I need to do differently to these ports to get them to register or do I need to purchase a different spa8000-g1 gateway?
A: By Default the ports should work fine. Do you get a Dial tone when you connect an Analog phone directly into the port 7 or 8? If you are not then you will need to see if there are any settings on Line 7 and Line 8 that was modified.
You might see the Line 7 and 8 registered on the SPA8000 which is normal because these port might be working fine before and all the sudden they are dead and the server sees it as a registered peer and it will also send the call as if it is perfectly online except the phone will not ring
If you find nothing, we would recommend you do factory reset on your Cisco SPA8000. If that does not help please contact your reseller and he will be able to assist you further.
Darren is awesome. He always goes above and beyond to create the best solution for us. His follow through is exceptional and I always know I will be taken care of.
We worked with Darren on a VOIP project, he assisted us in purchase Lync Phones. Service was excellent. Darren also follows-up. Ordered a qty of phones and received them the next day.
