ACTi KCM-5311e Outdoor H.264 2 Megapixel Day/Night PoE Box Camera

The ACTi KCM-5311e is a PoE enabled outdoor IP camera with a maximum resolution of 15 frames per second at 1920x1080 which can be used in day or night conditions with a mechanical IR cut filter. It features a 35x optical zoom lens and an IP66 outdoor rated casing. Having the zoom lens with the longest focal length ever in ACTi history, KCM-5311 helps you recognize people’s faces even beyond 300 meters! The KCM-5311e will support H.264, MPEG-4, and MJPEG compressions with dual streaming.

Although KCM-5311 can be installed in almost any indoor location just like any other box camera, it is especially suitable for large lobbies, such as airport or railway terminals, gyms and large auditoriums, hallways, etc., as the function of powerful zoom can be utilized there in the best way. The outdoor-ready version of the same model (KCM-5311E) comes with additional built-in IR LED and IP66 rated casing. The outdoor version will be very suitable for traffic surveillance, parking lots, tunnels, etc. It is also possible to combine the Zoom camera with Pan-Tilt scanner in order to enjoy the full PTZ capability via remote control.

The zoom and auto focus have also a great value for installers – there is no need to adjust focal length and focus manually on a high ladder any more unlike with box cameras using vari-focal lenses. It not only saves a lot of time, but is also much more comfortable and safer to do it through a remote computer instead.
