Cannot recommend
I cannot recommend this phone. We tried it for about a month, with 3 handsets. On multiple occasions, the phones lost connection to the base, and the base would need to be restarted. Also, the speaker is very bad quality and too soft. The phone's interface is also a bit slow and laggy sometimes. Above all, the range is horrid, and despite what some may tell you, a repeater is not available for this system and likely never will be. The phone's chipset (philips vega) i believe, simply does not support repeaters. The snom m9r is supposed to be released this month, among the improvements should be a better speaker and the ability to add a repeater. We will be trying the m9r when it comes out, but we had to return the m9 due to the issues we had.
ideal for office
we have a small office with around 10 ppl and we are using the m9 with 9 handsets and a single base stations. it works great with our itsp, allows us to make 4 concurrent calls which is ideal for our setup. auto config is also very handy for setting it up. call quality is satisfactory. range also ok. snom could work on the usability a bit more but still a good product for this money
nice cordless phone
works great with my service provider.
range is quite good and sound quality is also acceptable. nice phone over all.
good everyday use phone
works well with a number of pbxs i've tried. The handset also has a decent set of features, and call quality is quite good.
The inclusion of features like LDAP, IPv6 and Microsoft Lync support are additional treats.
Altogether this phone is a very good balance between price/performance.
