Solution Overview

AT&T Syn248 Phone System Builder

The AT&T Syn248 small business phone system is perfect for small businesses looking to have a more professional phone appearance than they do now with the ability to have up to 4 auto attendants, dial by name, and day and night modes. It is also useful for small businesses that are currently using non-networked analog phones who are looking for a more professional sounding, plug-and-play, easy to manage networked phone system. The Syn248 phone system consists of a Syn248 analog gateway, which will connect up to 4 PSTN lines, and up to 24 Syn248 deskphones. You can stack up to 2 Syn248 gateways to gain access to up to 8 PSTN phone lines (via FXO).

The Syn248 phone system is configured and managed using a web user interface with Point and Click commands. It is easy to set up which makes it perfect for small businesses with no dedicated IT staff. This is one that can easily be installed and configured by anyone who is managing the network.

When Configuring your Syn248 Phone System, you need to have At least one Syn248 analog gateway which will connect to up to 4 PSTN lines via the FXO ports. A second Syn248 analog gateway can be stacked giving you access to up to 8 FXO lines. If more are needed, you should consider the AT&T Synapse phone system. Once you have chosen one or 2 analog gateways, choose how many Syn248 desk phones you will need. The Syn248 analog gateway only works with the Syn248 desk phone. The Syn248 phone system will support up to 24 desk phones, however for calls outside the company, you are limited to how many concurrent calls you can have by how many PSTN lines you are connected with.

VoIP Switch

To connect your Syn248 desk phones, you will need an Ethernet switch. A Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch offers power for your Syn248 phones over the switch so you don't have to use individual power supplies to power on your Syn248 phones. If you don't want to use a PoE switch, a non-PoE switch can be used instead since the Syn248 phones include a power supply.

By clicking this button, VoIP supply will send you an email with a build list and price based on the options configurated for your phone system needs.
