How to Configure The Multi-Function Button on Grandstream’s WP820 WiFi Phone

Grandstream’s WP820 is a powerful WiFi phone that comes with flexible features. The WP820’s Push-to-talk button is a multi-function button that can be configured to perform different tasks! Let’s take a closer look at how to configure each function:

How to Configure the WP820 Push-to-Talk button

To configure the multi-function button, simply follow these steps: Go under WP820 Web GUI>System Settings>Preferences>Button Customization> Multi-function Button

There are several functions the button can be configured into, including:

  1. Paging (Push-to-talk):  a short press on the button will take users to PTT/Paging settings. Users can also press and hold the key to initiate PTT/Paging call.
  2. Panic call/SAFE: a short press on the key will open the status page to make sure that Panic Call is enabled. Users can also press and hold the key to trigger Panic Call. 
  3. Mute/Unmute: Mute incoming calls ringtone by pressing on the key. Also, the key will be performing mute/unmute function during calls.
  4. Speed Dial: once set up, the button can be used to speed dial a contact.
