Questions on Grandstream HT814 ATA

From Brian at 1/22/2017 7:00 PM

Q: When connecting an ATA adapter like the Grandstream HT814 to my home network, is it necessary to connect it directly to my router or can I send the ethernet cable to the router via a switch? (My modem and router are currently mounted up near the ceiling and not in a location where I could easily attach and set up a base phone.) Thanks.

A: Hi Brian,

If you would like to utilize this to NOT route traffic through then you can just plug it into the LAN port and not the WAN port.
