Patton SmartNode 5600 Session Border Controller Overview 

 The Patton SmartNode 5600 is so much more than your typical eSBC. In addition to delivering security features and SIP-normalization function it also functions as an edge access router, a Quality-of-Service (QoS) management node, and a network monitoring agent. It does the work of four devices in one single customer on-premise device all while working with the Patton Cloud edge-orchestration in order to prevent or decrease network and voice quality issues. With the built-in SIP back-to-back user agent The Patton SN5600 addresses IT problems by normalizing SIP traffic from different vendor implementations. In addition, the Patton SN5600 also supports up to 1,000 SIP to SIP calls.
