Patton SFP Device Server CIT-SFP/RJ45

The Patton Connect-IT SFP module is an Industry 4.0 solution that encapsulates asynchronous serial data into IP packets, enabling network transport via UDP or TCP. It seamlessly integrates with any Ethernet device featuring SFP ports that support 100BASE-FX and/or 1000BASE-X.

This module functions as a Device Server, Terminal Server, and Serial-over-IP Extender, providing secure transport, control, access, and monitoring of Asynchronous RTUs and other serial devices over Ethernet/IP/LAN networks.

Users can select RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 via software, with data rates ranging from 75 bps to 230 Kbps. The unit is compatible with third-party COM-ports, COM-servers, and COM-server applications, also serving as a COM-port extender.

Serial data transmission supports UDP or TCP protocols, offering Point-to-Point (PTP) and Point-to-Multipoint (PTMP) configurations. PTMP mode enables broadcasting nodes for efficient data distribution.

Configuration and management are accessible through password-protected Web, Telnet, or SSH interfaces, with an optional write-protection switch for enhanced security. Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) is also included.

Housed in a rugged, fully metallic enclosure, the module operates in extreme conditions, with a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and an embedded temperature sensor for reliable performance.
