AT&T Syn248 Analog Gateway Overview
The Syn248 gateway connects up to 4 PSTN lines via 4 FXO ports to your LAN to facilitate a VoIP phone system using the PSTN to dial out. The Syn248 supports automatic IP address assignment and has 1 Ethernet port and 1 FXS port for use with an analog phone in the event of a power failure on your LAN. The Syn248 small business phone system is perfect for small businesses looking to have a more professional phone appearance than they do now with the ability to have up to 4 auto attendants, dial by name, and day and night modes.
The AT&T Syn248 analog gateway is a proprietary gateway that will only work as the core of a Syn248 small business phone system. It is not a stand alone FXO gateway. The AT&T Syn248 small business phone system will only ring Syn248 Desksets (SB35020), they will not work with other brands or models.
