VXI Quick Disconnect QD1026-P Cord

The VXI QD1026P is a lower QD cord which fits most office phones with an RJ9 style headset plug, such as Aastra, Avaya, Mitel, NEC, Nortel, newer model Polycom IP phones (not the IP321, IP331), Shoretel, Siemens, and Toshiba. It is compatible with VXI-P and Plantronics headsets. If your deskphone has a dedicated headset port, you can use this lower QD Cord and a headset with or without an amplifier.

Q: Is this VXI Quick Disconnect QD1026P Cord the necessary part I would need to purchase to connect the Plantronics HW251N headset to my Polycom VVX 500 and Polycom VVX 600 phones? Would I need to buy any additional things to have working headsets or just the headsets themselves and the quick disconnect cord?
