Questions on Rhino R8FXX-EC Base PCI Card with Echo Cancellation
Q: We are in need of a telephone card for our freepbx computer. We have on phone line from Ma Bell which we want to conect to our voip system. With this card and a FXO module, will it meet our needs?
A: Yes. You would also need a dual FXO module to go with the card (for two ports of FXO).
Or, you could use an R4FXO card. It has 4 ports of FXO, but is not modular and is, therefore, a little lower price.
The R8FXX card gives up to 8 ports of FXO or FXS flexibility and expansion capabilities by using up to 4 dual FXS or FXO modules.
If, however, no further growth or FXS flexibility is needed then the R4FXO would be the choice.
